How can Users Register on the Site!

  • Dear Michael or other Administrators,

As I am an ardent fan of GrandOrgue (Obviously) and wish to promote the software and some of my builds through my youtube channels, I am now being inundated with messages similar to this one:

"Your demo sounds great but unfortunately, the download website doesn't work right. I need to register and they are supposed to send an authentication code. I asked for one twice and they never send a authentication code to register, so I can't do anything there. Pity, I love Grand Orgue!"

I would prefer to share my builds through the mps-orgelseite and allow them to discover other users' creations and shares as well. Please address this issue or suggest a solution so that I may respond to them appropriately. Thanks!

  • Dear WillNillson
First of all, thank you for your many years of loyalty to our website and for uploading so many interesting files!

In order to ensure that this site's upload and download system continues to function without significant interruption, it is important that only secure new members are granted access. For this reason, the system automatically ignores all registration attempts with email or IP addresses that appear to be unsafe. Otherwise, we would constantly have to deal with sabotage, unwanted advertising, and other spam.
Most registrations work without any problems and are automatically activated by the system.

Registration is generally done via the registration button at the top right of the home page. Follow the steps and make sure to use a valid email address. Disposable or one-time email addresses (trash mail) are usually blocked by the system.

If there is no response or an unwanted response from the system to a registration, then as the administrator of the website, I can check it manually and decide on access. However, I must be notified of this. As is customary for German websites and required by law, the administrator's email address can be found in the “Imprint” at the bottom of each page.

In addition, I check the new registrations about twice a month anyway and manually approve registration attempts that I consider to be secure.

    Kind regards,

    Michael P. Schmidt
